National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

National Weather Service

As a subcontractor to Varone Consulting Group, AAT has provided information technology and acquisition support services for several offices within the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Weather Service since 2002.

 

Office of Hydrology Development, National Weather Service.   AAT supports the Hydrologic Operations and Service Improvement Process by working with project leads and Group Leaders or Project Area Leaders to shepherd projects through a process of milestone reviews by OHD management.  On another project for the Hydrologic Engineering Software Branch (HSEB), AAT identified, captured, and documented the branch-wide software development processes across the HSEB, including interfacing organizations.As a member of the Software Engineering Process Group, AAT staff contributed to the development of software guidelines and standards. 

 

Office of Science and Technology, National Weather Service.   AAT performed acquisition support, market research, contractor performance evaluation, and program management support.  Activities included acquisition planning, assembly of acquisition packages, development of requests for information and requests for quote, development of vendor selection criteria, evaluation of technical and cost proposals, preparation of contract modifications, and review of contractor invoices.   

 

Office of Education.    AAT supports the Educational Partnership Program which provides financial assistance through competitive processes to minority serving institutions that support research and training of students in NOAA-related sciences.  Our services include:  Access database management and report generation; SQL query development and report generation; webpage re-development, editing and modification; design and re-development of marketing and promotional materials; assistance to multiple student scholarship programs; and administrative support.
